Author Dana Priyanka Hammond shares her memoir to aid in advocacy for victims of child abuse and human trafficking in Abandoned but Not Forgotten ( $12.49 paperback, 9781630508616; $6.99 e-book, 9781630508623).

Hammond was four years old when she was abandoned at a train station in India.  Abducted by child traffickers, she was rescued by police and sent to America to move through the foster care system.  She was eventually adopted by an American family, continuing to suffer from the trauma and abuse she endured.

“This book is about the mishandling of a kid through adoption and the horrific trauma that children usually go through which people don't usually hear of and how messed up the systems can be for a child with no future or an expected end,” said Hammond.

Hammond is a Mental Health Paraprofessional by profession and bestselling author of Amazon’s hot new release, Tear the Veil Volume 2, co-authored with 18 fearless visionary leaders and speakers.  Through her Indian cuisine cooking show on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, Hammond connects the world to her culture and advocates against world hunger, child trafficking, neglect and abuse within the adoption and foster care systems. She and her husband, Matthew A. Hammond, are the proud parents of a newborn baby girl.
