Author Glenn K. Gunderson, Jr. teams up with Kathy Gisi Wimbish to compare Israel’s kings to football players in 4th Quarter Fumbles: Keys to Finishing Strong ($14.49, paperback, 9781498489249; $6.99, e-book, 9781498489256).
Gunderson is a lifetime sports fan, and in this book he has decided to use a football analogy to study the lives of some of Israel’s kings discussed in the Bible. Their poor choices late in the game marred their strong reputations and previously godly lives. Hopefully, his analysis of these “4th quarter fumbles” will help modern-day Christians avoid the same mistakes.
“This nonfiction book presents a collection of recognized, true stories from the Bible, specifically of kings of Israel who thrived most of their campaigns but made disastrous mistakes in the end,” said Gunderson.
