Author Bob Stoddard reaches out to those who don’t see God’s promises working out in their lives in Seeing the Unseen: Learning to See with the Eyes of Our Hearts ($15.99, paperback, 9781632219947; $7.99, e-book, 9781632219954).

Stoddard’s son died at the age of 16, and the world felt very dark.  He struggled with Scripture’s promise that God was near to him, when He felt so far away.  In this book, he offers encouragement and instruction to believers who find it difficult to accept what they cannot see.

“Over the years God has taught me, drawn me close to Him, and helped me to learn how to see with the eyes of my heart. I think my journey can be of help to others,” said Stoddard.

Bob Stoddard, the son of missionaries, grew up in Guatemala. He graduated from Houghton College in 1972 with a BS in Biology, and then graduated from Physician Assistant training at Albany Medical College in 1977. After serving for over thirty years as a Pediatric PA, he returned to school and graduated from Northeastern Seminary with a MA in Theology. He served as the pastor of a small non-denominational church for six years before retiring in November 2015. He and his wife, Cheryl, recently moved to Orchard Park, NY, to be closer to their two grandchildren.
