Author Anni Reed begins her original trilogy, “The Word Unfurled”, with The Scroll ($14.99, paperback, 9781632218520; $7.99, e-book, 9781632218537).
In this re-imagining of the biblical story, Reed offers insight into the early ministry of John and the Baptist, as well as a look at his mother Elizabeth’s political views. While Elizabeth fights for women’s right to learn the read the Scrolls for themselves, John challenges the efficacy of the Temple rituals and decides it is time for change. The arrival of the long-awaited Messiah raises new questions, and provides unexpected answers.
“This trilogy, ‘The Word Unfurled’, is based on visions I have been given by God in my prayer time. I was shocked to discover that what God showed me in my visions has been recorded in history,” said Reed.
Anni Reed is passionate about inspiring our identity and intimacy with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. A retired public school educator, she has published genres ranging from co-authoring educational tools to an Off, Off Broadway play. She currently enjoys leadership roles in her church, including being Music Minister and providing speaking engagements.
