Even Though God Can Number the Stars, He Hasn't Forgotten Your Pain

Author Lisa Finley helps children and their caregivers navigate grief and loss with The Celestial Seven ($12.49, paperback, 9781662804359; $5.99, e-book, 9781662804366).

After a tragic traffic accident that put her young son in a two-week coma, Finley found inspiration looking up at the stars.  Her son recovered, but she was forced to re-visit her starry vision some years later when adopting her two daughters.  They lost their birth mother to cancer and Finley found her resources vastly inadequate to help them deal with their grief.  Now she shares her wisdom with others, guiding them toward hope.

My desire is for readers of all ages to know they are not alone when they lose a loved one.  The One who determines the number of the stars, and gives to all of them their names, certainly cares and loves you personally,” said Finley.

Lisa Finley is an educator who has worked with primary students for over 30 years.  She currently teaches a kindergarten class at Grace Academy, as well as writing inspirational articles for her church and serving in Women’s Ministry.  She and her husband, Michael, share four adult children, six grandchildren and a hyperactive puppy named Koa.
