Joy Roberts’s book, Toby: Safely Home ($10.49, paperback, 9781662803642; $20.99, hardcover, 9781662803659; $4.99, ebook, 9781662803666) is available for purchase.

At the sudden death of Joy’s twenty-two-year-old son, God spoke to her as she was riding home from the hospital. She knew she had to face her two little daughters, ages eight and ten, and tell them that their brother was never coming home again.

Joy desperately cried out, “Lord, how will I ever be able to tell my girls that their brother is gone and is never coming home again, in a way that will comfort them and help them to understand?” The answer was instantly dropped into her mind. This book, Toby: Safely Home, is the direct result and answer to her heart’s cry. Joy’s prayer now is that this demonstration will bring the same hope and comfort to the children who have this book read to them, as it did to her own children.

Joy’s life experience as a wife and the mother of a son who passed away prepared her to write this book. She has experience on prayer, healing and ministry teams, too. Her favorite things to do are worship the Lord and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.
