You Come Home Without A Baby – How Do You Tell the Kids?

Xulon Press presents assistance for parents facing painful conversations.

Author Lianne Totty utilizes the wisdom gained through her own loss to help children and parents in Baby Went to Heaven ($19.99, paperback, 9781662804540; $29.99, e-book, 9781662804557).

Totty gave birth to her son, Lionel, at 27 weeks gestation after years of infertility and multiple losses.  After six months in the NICU, Lionel went to be with Jesus before ever going home with his parents.  Totty’s goddaughter knew she was expecting a baby, and it was very difficult to explain to her why he never came home.  Inspired by that experience, Totty has written a children’s book to aid adults in that difficult conversation with children after experiencing a loss.

In the hopes that this would ease the pain of explanation to children, this book is dedicated to any parent who has suffered the loss of a child,” said Totty.

Lianne Totty is a Patient Services Administrator at a major teaching hospital in Washington DC and an aspiring children’s book author.  After years of infertility and the loss of their first son, Totty and her husband are now raising Lucas, also born early but now home and thriving.
