Is Tithing An Important (Or Necessary) Part of a Christian's Life?

Xulon Press presents teaching on the blessings that come with tithing.

Author Lyn Johnston Taken shares her “insider info” in tithing in Confessions of a Church Financial Secretary ($11.49, paperback, 9781662814419; $5.99, e-book, 9781662814426).

Johnston Taken heard talk and teaching on tithing throughout her childhood, but never took it very seriously.  It wasn’t until she spent five years working as a church financial secretary that she began to truly understand the significance of this spiritual practice.  In contrast to the average layperson, she knew who tithed and who didn’t, and she observed immense differences in the lives of the two groups.  Motivated by this information, she began tithing faithfully and saw the change in her own life.

Johnston Taken says that, even though this book is about tithing, “it is really about so much more. Tithing is key to so many elements in the Christian walk.”

Lyn Johnston Taken was raised in Opp, Alabama and was brought up in a caring home and active church. She left Opp for Troy to attend college, then moved to Montgomery, Alabama, and later to Macon, Georgia, where she met her husband, Don.
