In this sequel to The Hard Start, Towell has compiled letters she wrote to her three adopted sons, as well as letters from a single mother to her daughter, and letters from other parents in the foster/adopt community. When others are at the end of their rope, she encourages them to turn to Jesus for peace, as she did.

Lee Towell is a wife, mother of six, teacher, and a composer of children’s music that shares the goodness of God. She has been a teacher for more than forty years, she is a children’s music ministry leader, and a member of CBCB in Spring Branch, Texas. In addition to fostering many children and adopting three boys, Towell continues to mentor foster children and work with CASA. She is the author of Finley’s Feathers and Up on the Rooftops.
