Author Charlotte Griggs shares her mother’s poems with a new generation in GOD, MAMA and US ($14.49, paperback, 9781662812835; $6.99, e-book, 9781662812842).

Although her mother passed away in 1975, Griggs believes her writings are still remarkably relevant today.  Griggs and her siblings have compiled their mother’s poetry and added their own commentary, reminding readers of the gifts we continue to receive from loved ones, even after they’re gone.

“My inspiration was remembering how my mother worked so lovingly and closely with each of us to achieve our best. And that she left us such an inspiring legacy,” said Griggs.

Charlotte Griggs was born in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Northwestern High School in 1960. She is the mother of three sons. She moved to New Jersey and operated her own business for 34 years as a medical transcriptionist. She earned her Business Administration Degree at Iona College in Yonkers, New York. Charlotte Griggs now lives in Tamarac, Florida with her two sons. She is twice widowed and enjoys reading and sitting in the sun.
