Author Elisa Domingo Garcia hopes to inspire readers to stand up for what’s right with her first-hand account, EEO and the Whistleblower Equal Employment Opportunity: Selfish Love and the Effect of Power ($12.49, paperback, 9781662816673; $5.99, e-book, 9781662816680).

Employees of the Veterans’ Hospital dubbed the new Pharmacy Director Big Viper.  Soon after her arrival, their peaceful work environment turned toxic, ravaged by falsified write-ups, favoritism and tampered records.  The remaining employees have to ask themselves how they will provide for their families if they quit.  How can they fight Big Viper and restore order?

Garcia said she was inspired by “love for our military, who gave their youth and life to preserve our democracy becoming the best nation on earth.”

Elisa Domingo Garcia became mentor to lots of subordinates in the expanse of her 25 years of service with a VA Hospital, where she became a Pharmacist Supervisor. She also worked for 10 years as a pharmacist on call for different Native American Indians Hospitals after her retirement.
