Author Fauneil Fremont tells the story of her 57-year marriage through the eyes of a fictional character named Beth in I Didn’t Really Know Him: A Memoir ($15.99, paperback, 9781545674628; $7.99, e-book, 9781545674635).

After over five decades of marriage, many couples feel they know absolutely everything about each other.  This was not so in the case of Beth and Will.  Beth knew her husband was secretive, but even she was shocked by all that she learned about his after his death.

It is an honest and intimate portrayal of fifty-seven years of marriage to a very intelligent but difficult man. Looking for fulfilling love required dignity, strength, and belief in God,” said Fremont.

Fauneil Fremont was born and raised in northeastern Nebraska.  She has four college degrees: a BSc in Education from the University of Nebraska; a MEd from the University of Arizona; and both a BA and MA in music from San Jose State University. Fremont has had two careers, as an English teacher and as a professional musician, both described in her writing.
