Author N. G. Carraway, shares a fictional, coming of age biblical based story in Journey on the Ancient Path: The Way of the Shepherd ($22.49, paperback, 9781662831607; $9.99, e-book, 9781662831614).

Carraway’s enlightening novel, based on gospel scriptures, tells the fictional story of Josiah, a young boy who grows to adulthood during the days of expectancy for the Messiah. As Josiah experiences life, love and loss, he discovers the importance of understanding the prophetic truth of the Word and the significance of the path that his Hebrew ancestors followed. All prophecies, related to the birth of Yeshua (Jesus), are woven into the story.

“I was inspired to write this book after I shared the account of Jesus' birth with a friend at work, a young lady who was raised as a Hindu,” said Carraway. “My friend had never heard the story of the birth of Jesus, and I could not find a book, written for an adult, that shared this amazing account. So, I decided to write a book for adults from a Jewish perspective, about the birth of Jesus. Since Christians already know this story, I decided to also add information about the Jewish feasts, something most Christians are not aware of, but are hungry to learn.

Carraway has been a lifelong student of the Holy Bible and was raised in a Christian home. For years, Jewish feasts had been of particular interest. While she does not recognize herself as a Biblical scholar, she understands that most Christians have no knowledge of these feasts or the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. With this book, she is proud to explain the Jewish feasts and how they relate to modern life. Readers from all backgrounds and faiths will appreciate her entertaining approach to the topic and easy to read writing style.

Carraway works with a global company and in her spare time, enjoys teaching others about Jewish feasts, baking homemade bread and spending time with her family including 5 grandchildren. She also enjoys learning Hebrew and loves the outdoors. Carraway wants to continue sharing the Good News of Jesus, the Messiah.
