Author Norman Shuert has organized many prayers found in the Bible in a logical, easy-to-reference volume entitled Biblical Prayers for Every Need ($15.49, paperback, 9781619042421; $23.99, hard cover, 9781619042438; $7.49, e-book, 9781619960435).
This book began as a personal aid for Shuert. He would search through the Bible, looking for model prayers to suit the particular situation or feeling he was experiencing, and often could not find what he wanted. So he organized adaptations of the Bible passages by topic so that he could quickly reference them as needed. That labor of love is now available to readers who wish to follow these biblical examples of prayer.
“The mission for this book is to encourage the Christian, or the seeker, to pray in every situation, finding actual Bible verses and Bible models of prayer that speak to him or her,” said Shuert.
Norman Shuert is a licensed minister with a Master of Divinity, Master of Philosophy and Master of Arts. He has served as a Bible college instructor for 15 years.
