Author Rebecca Joy shares her powerful real-life stories with readers in Following The Cloud: A Lifetime Journey ($15.99, paperback, 9781662800344; $7.99, e-book, 9781662800351).

Rebecca Joy’s true encounters of numerous supernatural events will fascinate readers, whether one believes in supernatural grace and guidance, or may be skeptical. These compelling stories transport readers back to life in a small, southern Ohio village in the 1950’s, and then on to growing up through the turbulent 60’s, with stories of major and minor healings, rescues performed by angels, and help given by the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It is the remarkable story of Rebecca Joy, a registered nurse (RN), who had to rely on the still, small voice she heard to save the life of a mother and her baby, and of many other episodes of supernatural help given to her so that she could care for others. Rebecca Joy wrote this book to help readers come to the realization of just how much God loves them and that they will miss out if they fail to seek their own personal encounters with God.

Asked what inspired her to write this book, Rebecca Joy said, “When I couldn’t find another nursing job in 2018, I asked God why He wasn’t helping me as He had always done in the past. His voice was loud and clear. ‘I don’t want you to go backward. I want you to go forward.’ I asked, ‘How can I go forward?’ He said, “Write the book.”

Rebecca Joy was born in Southern Ohio in 1953. Her first item published was a poem written in high school and published in the school newspaper. After spending a year at Marion College in Marion, Indiana, she graduated from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in 1975, and worked in numerous hospitals and in-patient home care. In 2008 she left patient care to work for insurance companies using her medical expertise to interpret client records. In 2019, she retired from nursing and now lives in Strafford, Missouri. She takes great interest in the progress of medical science and also loves reading books about God's greatness. Baking is a hobby for Rebecca Joy and her grandkids. Participating in the bake sales at her church, she takes great pride in making buyers drool over her latest creations.
