Trostle penned her version of “creation” as it is depicted in the book of Psalms. In great detail, she explains Psalm 139, from the beginning of man’s creation and throughout the story, introducing all of God’s other creations. Her purpose of this book is to remind readers just how deeply the God of the Universe knows, cares and is acquainted with each person as an individual. According to the author, Psalm 139 is the one book of the Bible that speaks about how intricately God knows every detail of each person’s lives and expresses the enormity of His great love toward all of His followers. Trostle wants readers to fully understand the love that God has for them, an experience that she says will provide a “freeing” feeling for each Christian.
“Psalm 139 spoke to me very deeply several years ago almost as if I was reading it for the first time, which is what started me on the journey of writing this book,” said Trostle. “I longed for love and acceptance and I believed I could gain these through my accomplishments. As I struggled with insecurities, there were times I felt unworthy, unloved and had a terrible self-image. I was a child of God, but the devil was ‘devouring’ me daily and stealing my joy (I Peter 5:8-10). There is healing in God’s Word, and that is exactly what I found in Psalm 139. It helped me understand I am very special to God and that He loves me just as I am. My prayer is that anyone who reads this book would understand His amazing love for all of us and how very special we are to Him. Everyone is precious to God!”
Robyn Trostle was born and raised in East Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and later completed a Masters in Library and Information Science from Trevecca Nazarene University. Trostle worked as a school librarian. She is retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard after 22 years of service. Trostle currently serves as a Coordinator of a local Senior Center. She enjoys reading, crocheting and spending time with her family. She especially loves to read the Bible. In addition, Trostle’s son is currently teaching her how to play the banjo.
