She holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality from Mercer University, and currently serves at her local Vineyard church in facilitating, teaching, and pastoral care. Along with her spouse, Allen, Penton enjoys family gatherings, camping, hiking, photography, storytelling, and traveling to state and national parks.
