Author Steve Damron provides much-needed help for readers struggling to know what to do with teenagers in Teens A to Z: A Manual For Developing Mature, Godly Teenagers ($19.99, paperback, 9781662853142; $9.99, e-book, 9781662853159).

Steve Damron has been in Christian service for 30+ years, working with youth ministry, witnessing hundreds of youth reached with the Gospel. In fact, he has spoken to teenagers in more than 45 states and ministered to youth in 25+ countries around the world. He observed that many advice books on raising teenagers provided nothing more than psychological "babble.” He also noticed that there was a lack of books offering proven successful Scriptural guidance for leading teenagers. His powerful guide does both. It offers readers a biblical perspective at the forefront of getting advice for raising and ministering teenagers. The book covers 26 relatable and relevant topics regarding young adults. It begins with “authority” and concludes with leading a young person to truly become zealous for the right things in life.

I was asked in the fall of 1990 to start working with young people in a church setting,” said Steve Damron. “The leadership that I was working under saw that I enjoyed working with young people and that they responded to me. Soon, they wanted me to take a leadership role. I started to research looking for books that might help me in this path. It was pretty barren. After twenty-five years of working with youth, God led me to put some of the lessons that I have learned working with teenagers into book format.”

Steve Damron grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, under the ministry of Dr. Roy Thompson. His youth pastor, Pastor Dan Wolvin, was instrumental in steering him to God. He graduated from Fairhaven Baptist College with a bachelor’s degree in theology and a master’s degree in biblical exposition. Later, he earned a seminary degree, a PhD in Religious Education. Steve Damron served as an associate pastor for twenty years where he served as youth pastor. His desire was to reach as many young people as possible for the Lord and bring them to a point of full surrender to Him. Many in his youth group found a deep love for the Word of God and many surrendered their lives to work in full-time ministry. Steve Damron also served as senior pastor of Fairhaven Baptist Church for ten years.

Steve Damron enjoys hiking and working out, having logged hundreds of miles on his road bike and spent many days hiking all over America. He also enjoys camping, recently purchasing a 27-foot travel trailer. Steve Damron has written additional books and articles and produced three podcasts.
