Akrotirianakis pulls from his own life experience, as well as from his years of ministry, to form an understanding that those who are suffering from low self-esteem find it difficult to encourage others. In an effort to put an end to this vicious cycle, he has drawn inspiration from 1 Thessalonians 5:11-28 in order to build up his readers and prepare them to breathe life into others in need of affirmation.

Stavros Akrotirianakis was born in Whittier, CA and earned a Master of Divinity from Holy Cross School of Theology. He serves as a Greek Orthodox Priest in Tampa, FL, where he lives with his wife and their son. Akrotirianakis has authored several books, including: All Creation Rejoice: Reflections on Advent, the Nativity and Epiphany; The Road Back to Christ: Reflections on Lent, Holy Week and Pascha; and Blessed Is the Kingdom, Now and Forever: Reflections on the Divine Liturgy.
