Deborah Benner-Davis is a wife and mother who holds degrees in music, psychology and music therapy. Working as a musical therapist for more than two and a half decades, she has worked with thousands of children of multiple populations. Her expertise is working with special needs children and adults. She also works with very young children both in group and private settings. Her belief is that children have the most potential and should be elevated to their highest level. Benner-Davis wants to empower all children, including the underprivileged, to learn through music by providing additional educational tools for life-long learning in a repeatable way. Her unique approach brings joy as well as educational and developmental results. Benner-Davis is the owner and founder of a non-profit called Melody Monkey's Workshop. She plays and teaches piano, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, hand chimes, handbells, and guitar. She also leads adult and children's choirs. Hobbies include crocheting, gardening and reading.
