Author Rowena Goodin shares hours and hours’ worth of study in A Southern Companion Guide for the GOSPELS ($22.49, paperback, 9781662871856; $9.99, e-book, 9781662871863).

At the time of the writing, Rowena Goodin was 95, and her son Ronnie compiled this book from a collection of 43 handwritten notebooks he stumbled across.  Rowena had kept the notes while she prepared adult Sunday School lessons for half a century and they covered practically the entire Bible.  This volume contains her studies on the four Gospels, specifically.

These notes are anchored in the specific intent of the 4 written Gospels but also showing the interrelationship among these 4 Gospels along with related Law and earlier prophesy along with the works of Paul. This work offers a wide range of thought provoking learning opportunities! Enjoy!said Goodin.

Rowena Goodin was born into the Luke family and raised very near the Choctaw Indian Mound in the area known as Nanih Waiya in east-central Mississippi. She married James Riley Goodin. They were members of the Harmony Baptist Church where Rowena began teaching Sunday School and her study and preparation for these classes ultimately led to and resulted in the work we see here. Rowena Goodin taught Sunday School for a half century. Different adult groups in her small church all seemed to plead that Rowena become their teacher.
