Savage’s second book of the Mercy Series follows character Hamilton John Hatcher, as he leaves Chicago and travels to Cheyenne, Wyoming to turn his life around and become the better man that his sister, Sarah, knew he could be. This, the result of having no prospects left in Chicago and after nearly killing his sister and losing all credibility. Readers will find Hamilton’s journey relatable as he embarks on a challenging transformation with guilt and shame following his every move.
Adding to Hamilton’s challenges, Joshua Ward, a Pinkerton detective who had protected Sarah, becomes temporary sheriff of Cheyenne and painstakingly watches his every move. Will meeting a young woman who he can’t seem to live without give Hamilton the glimmer of hope he needs? How will he react when this women’s sisters begin to rely on him? Will he believe it when the townspeople show him there is always a way to redeem one’s self through God’s grace and forgiveness?
“I was inspired to write this story because of a reoccurring dream,” said Savage.
“The beginning of the story kept replaying in my dreams for 3 months. I had to write it down so I could sleep. When I started writing it down, the dream moved on to the next part. I didn't know it would turn into a book.”
Jeannie Savage was born and raised in southwest Missouri. Savage and her husband reside in Indiana. She is a forty-eight-year cancer survivor and she and her husband have been married for thirty-five years. Her husband and their two wonderful sons are her greatest joy. Savage enjoys travelling, camping, riding bicycles, reading, research and genealogy. She is talented in architectural design and loves music, bible studies and spending time with family and friends.
